Alpha Braille: Diseño de dispositivo electrónico autónomo para la enseñanza aprendizaje de Braille en ANVIZSUC

The Alpha Braille project presents the design of a autonomous electronic device aimed at supporting Braille literacy among individuals with visual impairments. The device integrates a tactile interface with auditory feedback to promote an interactive and multisensory learning experience. According to data from the National Council for the Equality of Disabilities (CONADIS, 2024), there are 56,644 people with impairments registered in Ecuador. Of these, 3,714 are in the province of Azuay and 1,341 in Cañar. Although Azuay has a larger population (801,609, (Instituto Nacional de Estadística y Censos (INEC), 2024)) Cañar has a higher proportion of visually impaired individuals relative to its population (227,578, (Instituto Nacional de Estadística y Censos (INEC), 2024)).
