NEOPLASIA DE COLO DE ÚTERO: UMA BREVE REVISÃO DE LITERATURA.
Introduction: The main risk factor for developing cervical cancer (CC) is infection by HPV (Human Papillomavirus). Objective: To review and summarize the bibliography available on scientific platforms related to cervical neoplasia. Method: This is an integrative literature review that aims to compile and summarize relevant literature available on scientific research platforms and through the Ministry of Health website, highlighting the content of the selected studies. Results: Research conducted in recent years has shown that intermediate or developing countries have higher rates of involvement of this neoplasia (CC), as well as a high incidence of HPV transmission, which is the most transmissible STI. These data show that this pathology is still a national health concern, as it can lead to the death of women if left untreated. Conclusion: Immunization against oncogenic subtypes of Human Papillomavirus is available in the SUS, as well as the incorporation of molecular diagnostic tests, which appears to be an important advance in relation to primary and secondary prevention of CC.
