EFEITOS DOS EXERCÍCIOS PROPRIOCEPTIVOS NA REABILITAÇÃO DE PACIENTES COM INSTABILIDADE CRÔNICA DE TORNOZELO (ICT): UMA REVISÃO DE LITERATURA
This study presents a systematic review of the literature on the effects of proprioceptive exercises in the rehabilitation of patients with chronic ankle instability (CAI). CAI is a common condition characterized by recurrent episodes of instability and giving way, often associated with proprioceptive deficits and impaired postural control, resulting in an increased risk of new injuries and functional limitation. Intervention with proprioceptive exercises, including the use of unstable surfaces and visual feedback, has been shown to be effective in improving balance, proprioception and preventing recurrent injuries. The review will analyze primary outcomes, such as balance and proprioception, and secondary outcomes, such as functionality and quality of life, from randomized clinical trials published between 2018 and 2025. The research aims to provide a critical view on the effectiveness of these interventions, highlighting the variables of duration, frequency and intensity of the protocols, and their implications in clinical practice for CAI rehabilitation.
