Paediatrics and genetics
A 3-week-old baby girl presented with vesicular and crusted lesions on her body, some in a linear distribution. Eosinophilia was noted on blood investigations, while a skin biopsy revealed florid epidermal eosinophilic infiltration with intraepidermal vesiculation and dyskeratotic keratinocytes. This case highlights an important differential diagnosis in neonatal dermatology and emphasizes the importance of multidisciplinary care for early recognition and necessary management.
