Study on the Performance of Integrated Nutrient Management on Growth and Yield of Baby Corn in Southern Telangana (Zea mays L.)

This study was done to evaluate the impact of integrated nutrient management on baby corn soil fertility in southern Telangana. The experiment, using a randomized block design with seven treatments in three replications, showed significant differences in all treatments. Treatment T3 (75% RDF + 5 t/ha FYM + 1.5 t/ ha Vermicompost + 5 kg/ha Azotobacter) yielded the best results, including higher plant height (190.67 cm), earlier detasseling (47.04 days), silking (50.33 days), and harvest initiation (54.07 days), and a longer harvest duration (21.17 days). Yield parameters also favored T3 with the highest number of cobs per plant (3.68), maximum cob weight (95.67 gm with husk), and highest cob yield per hectare (5.82 t/ha).
