Scientific worldview of personality: essence and structure
The article highlights the results of critical analysis, systematization and generalization of literary sources regarding the content and structure of the concept of «scientific worldview of the individual» as a leading quality and an integral component of the subject competence of schoolchildren in physics. The relevance of solving the specified problem is confirmed by the requirements of state regulatory educational documents in the field of modern natural science, and in particular physical, education, the degree of its theoretical development, the real educational results of the worldview training of modern schoolchildren in physics. It is found that a person's worldview as a component of his worldview culture is a system of generalized knowledge about nature, society and thinking, and the views and beliefs of the individual formed on its basis. Based on the analysis of literary sources, the structure of the worldview of the individual and its main characteristics are proposed. It has been established that, depending on the knowledge that a person uses to explain the world around him, a distinction is made between a scientific and a non- scientific worldview. A two-component structure of a person’s scientific worldview has been proposed. It has been established that the core of a scientific worldview is a scientific picture of the world, which unites generalized images of the world around him from individual sciences (natural, humanitarian, social). It has been found that the formation of a scientific worldview of schoolchildren involves the acquisition and transformation of a system of scientific knowledge into corresponding views and beliefs, which requires a separate purposeful and systematic methodological approach. It has been determined that the formation of a scientific worldview of schoolchildren in the teaching of physics involves the systematization and generalization of subject knowledge around fundamental scientific ideas, principles, laws and theories. The latter can be done most optimally by forming in their minds the most complete and holistic ideas about the evolution, content and structure of the modern physical picture of the world.
