Theoretical analysis of the basic concepts of developmental education of mathematics
The modern world sets new challenges for education. The COVID-19 pandemic and the war have negatively affected to the quality of education, especially in the field of mathematics.Today, the development of mathematics education in Ukraine requires the introduction of innovations. To improve the quality of education, the introduction of methods and principles of developmental mathematics education is considered as an effective tool for overcoming educational losses in secondary education institutions.Developmental education involves the active participation of students in the educational process, the formation of their ability to think independently and solve problems. This approach contributes not only to the assimilation of knowledge, but also to the development of such important qualities as critical thinking, creativity and independence. The work analyzes the experience of national and foreign scientists, considers and characterizes the models of the system of intensive comprehensive development of L. Zankova and the technology of development of intellectual abilities of D. Elkonin-V. Davydova. In the process of analysis, the features of the methods, goals, objectives, conceptual provisions, advantages and disadvantages were investigated.Separately, national developments of the concept of developmental mathematics education were considered. It should be noted that most of the works on the implementation of developmental mathematics education were devoted to education in primary school.During our study, scientists (S. Semenets, S. Skvortsova, N. Tarasenkova and others) were singled out, who emphasize the need for developmental education and create methodological materials on mathematics for its implementation in secondary education institutions. Studying the theoretical foundations of developmental education and the analysis of practical experience of its application in Ukrainian schools indicate that this will be a challenge for the development of modern mathematical education in Ukraine, but it will contribute to the formation of deep mathematical knowledge and skills of students.
