Abstract

In this paper, for a system of linear differential equations of the form π‘₯β€²(𝑑) =𝐴 Β· π‘₯(𝑑), we study the problem of the existence of a scalar function of the form 𝑦(𝑑) =( ) ( ) βŸ¨π‘, π‘₯(𝑑)⟩ such that π‘₯1(𝑑), π‘₯2(𝑑), ..., π‘₯𝑛(𝑑) - all components of the solution vector of the system π‘₯β€²(𝑑) = Β· π‘₯(𝑑) for any initial condition π‘₯(𝑑0) = π‘₯0 belong to the linear hullπ‘†π‘βŸ¨π‘, π‘₯(𝑑)⟩, βŸ¨π‘, π‘₯(𝑑)βŸ©β€², βŸ¨π‘, π‘₯(𝑑)βŸ©β€²β€², ..., βŸ¨π‘, π‘₯(𝑑)⟩(𝑛-1). An existence criterion was formulatedπ‘†π‘βŸ¨π‘, π‘₯(𝑑)⟩, βŸ¨π‘, π‘₯(𝑑)βŸ©β€², βŸ¨π‘, π‘₯(𝑑)βŸ©β€²β€², ..., βŸ¨π‘, π‘₯(𝑑)⟩(𝑛-1). An existence criterion was formulated 𝑆𝑝𝑆𝑝··and proved, complementing previously published results on the representability of all components of the system π‘₯β€²(𝑑) = π‘₯(𝑑) in the form of linear combinations of derivativesof one scalar function. It is also argued that when the representability criterion is met, the periodicity, almost periodicity, and boundedness of the solution vector π‘₯(𝑑) of the systemπ‘₯β€²(𝑑) = Β· π‘₯(𝑑) follow only from the periodicity, almost periodicity, and boundedness of onefunction 𝑦(𝑑) = βŸ¨π‘, π‘₯(𝑑)⟩, respectively.
