Uyum Bozukluğunda Bilişsel Davranışçı Terapi: Bir Olgu Sunumu
In this case report, a 19-year-old male client with an adjustment disorder according to DSM-V diagnostic criteria was treated with cognitive behavioral therapy. During eight sessions, he worked on pressure from his family, sleep problems, betrayal, the mourning process, and anxiety symptoms. Techniques such as changing thought patterns, developing regular sleep habits, coping strategies, and confronting fears were used in the therapy. Over time, the client's complaints decreased visibly. During the treatment process, he began to talk to his family members more healthily. The greatest progress was seen in his sleep pattern and anxiety level. This case shows how beneficial the cognitive behavioral approach can be in adjustment problems. At the end of the therapy, a decrease in anxiety symptoms, an improvement in sleep quality, and positive developments in family relationships were observed. These results show that Cognitive Behavioral Therapy techniques such as restructuring thoughts, regulating sleep habits, developing stress coping skills, and strengthening family communication can be useful in the treatment of adjustment problems.
