La educación STEAM: ciencia, arte y tecnología al servicio del aprendizaje y el conocimiento en Latinoamérica
STEAM education promotes a deep and interdisciplinary transformation that integrates science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics to address 21st-century social, ethical, and environmental challenges. In Latin America, implementation faces structural barriers like curricular fragmentation, territorial inequality, and limited educational investment. While STEAM offers a creative and integrative approach, it must avoid becoming a superficial trend. Art within STEAM should be a critical and reflective driver, not a decorative element. The key lies in adapting this model to local contexts with a critical, ethical, and humanistic perspective, reinforcing critical thinking and promoting equity in education.
