CsPbBr1.8I1.2 quantum dots as saturable absorber for passively mode-locked laser at 1 <i>μ</i>m
Abstract The CsPbBr 1.8 I 1.2 perovskite quantum dots (QDs) were successfully synthesized via hot-injection method, and their nonlinear optical properties were comprehensively characterized. Utilizing these QDs as saturable absorbers at 1 μ m, a passively mode-locked Nd:YVO 4 laser with a W-type resonant cavity of 1.88 m was constructed. The maximum output power produced was 287 mW with the pumped power of 3.3 W, which corresponded to the narrowest pulse duration of 3.9 ps. The results underscore the huge potential of perovskite QDs in ultrafast photonics and broadband nonlinear optical materials.
