Amino functionalization of the support toward enhanced selective hydrogenation of dimethyl oxalate to methyl glycolate on silver–silicon catalysts

Catalyst consisting of Ag nanoparticles anchored on amino functionalized mesoporous silica nanospheres. The electron-rich Ag δ − species caused by the charge transfer between N and Ag are conducive to the activation of dimethyl oxalate.
