CRISPR Technology in Chalcone Derivatives: Innovations in Biosynthetic Pathways and Therapeutic Potential
Clustered regularly interspaced short palindromic repeats technology has revolutionised genetic engineering along with its efficiency and precision. It shows targeted modification of DNA sequences allowing the changes of activation suppression and alteration of specific genes. As the chalcone derivatives CRISPR play an important role in increasing biosynthesis by precisely genes involved in the phenylpropanoid pathway, what are chalcone synthase. The modification involved in the genetic intervention boosts the yield of chalcone and enhance the creation of novel drugs with improved therapeutic property such as anti-cancer, anti-inflammatory and anti-microbial effects. CRISPR technology based studies give profound knowledge into the genetic network and regulatory mechanism by governing chalcone production. These pathway unrevelling the CRISPR aids in optimising biosynthetic root in plants and microorganism, paving the innovative drug discovery and way for scalable production.
