Analysis of the Treatment of Ischemic Stroke with Mongolian and Western Medicine Based on the Gut-Brain Axis Theory

Ischemic stroke is recognized as the predominant type of cerebrovascular disease and a significant contributor to morbidity and mortality. It imposes a substantial burden on patients and adversely affects their quality of life. Recent studies have increasingly highlighted the connection between ischemic stroke and the gut-brain axis. This article explores the mechanisms and research advancements related to ischemic stroke and the gut-brain axis, drawing upon the principles of both Mongolian and Western medicine, while also providing a brief overview of corresponding treatment modalities. By examining gastrointestinal interventions in the context of the gut-brain axis theory, this research offers a theoretical foundation and introduces innovative strategies for the prevention and treatment of ischemic stroke, ultimately aiming to enhance therapeutic outcomes and improve patient prognosis.
