Synthesis of α-trifluoromethoxy-sulfide through the Pummerer rearrangement

A novel synthetic protocol for α-trifluoromethoxy sulfides was developed, characterized by mild reaction conditions and excellent substrate compatibility, which could be successfully employed for late-stage fluorination of pharmaceutically active molecules.
