SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS 2030 IN THE ACTIVITIES OF CEMENT MANUFACTURING ENTERPRISES: INTERNATIONAL DIMENSION

The article analyzes the implementation of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals 2030 by cement manufacturers using the example of the TOP-5 cement companies in the world. The analysis of recent research in the field of SDGs was conducted by the author using the software product VOSviewer 1.6.20 based on 19812 scientific publications for 2024 of the scientometric database Scopus. As a result of the bibliographic analysis, 4 clusters of scientific research in the field of SDGs were formed, demonstrating a comprehensive approach to the SDGs, as the keywords cover environmental, economic and social aspects. The green cluster is focused on general topics of sustainable development, blue – environmental issues, red – land use and natural resources, yellow – social and medical aspects. It was determined that the TOP-5 cement companies in the world adhere to the principles of sustainable development and social responsibility in their business activities and in interaction with stakeholders. CRH, positioning sustainability at the center of modern construction, has included sustainability in the basis of its business strategy, culture and solutions for construction and infrastructure. It has been proven that the environmental component of sustainable development is currently a priority for cement manufacturers, as all companies implement SDG 12, SDG 13 and SDG 15 in their activities. The cement industry consumes large amounts of raw materials, energy and water, which makes it necessary to transition to more efficient use of resources and waste reduction. In this context, companies increase the share of secondary materials, introduce modern technologies to reduce energy consumption, minimize industrial waste. As the cement industry is one of the largest sources of CO₂ emissions, SDG 13 is also one of the most important for cement producers. At the same time, cement companies pay the least attention to achieving SDGs 1, 2 and 10. However, they can play an important role in overcoming poverty and hunger, as well as in reducing inequality by creating new jobs with decent conditions and wages, implementing social programs, supporting local businesses and the public sector
