Somaesthetics in the Lens: Rethinking the Queer Male Body As A Medium
In the protracted struggle for bodily liberation and affirmative action, photography has become an important battleground for Queer's affirmative action, as it serves as a means of documenting and making Queer's bodies more visible to the world. By analysing the medium of the male Queer body in photography through the lens of somaesthetics, we will understand how it serves as a site of aesthetic experience, connecting the real material world with the imaginary sensual world, and the private and public areas in order to know how Queer uses it to achieve the emotional expression of identity projection, self-satisfaction pseudo-real characters, and the experience of empathetic feelings.
