MODERN APPROACHES TO ENERGY SECTOR ENTERPRISE MANAGEMENT: CHALLENGES AND DEVELOPMENT PROSPECTS

The article examines modern approaches to the formation of scientific and methodological foundations for managing energy sector enterprises to adapt to existing challenges, enhance their resilience and efficiency, ensure sustainable development, and maintain energy security amid global and regional transformations. Key issues are highlighted, including the need to improve energy efficiency, digitalize management processes, adapt to security risks, and develop renewable energy sources. The impact of geopolitical factors, particularly military actions and changes in international energy policy, on enterprise management strategies in the sector is analyzed. The main directions of development are identified, including the integration of digital technologies, the implementation of innovative business models, infrastructure modernization, and the improvement of financing mechanisms. Special attention is given to strategic management as a tool for increasing enterprise competitiveness, strengthening resilience to crises, and ensuring long-term stability. Conceptual approaches to adaptive strategic management of energy sector enterprises are proposed, based on the principles of systematization, capability, adaptability, and flexibility. These approaches enable enterprises to withstand external challenges, improve resource efficiency, optimize management processes, and contribute to the long-term development of the energy sector in a dynamic market environment. The development of an effective strategic management system for energy enterprises, built on defined principles and a structured implementation sequence, contributes not only to increasing competitiveness and resilience in a changing market environment but also ensures the efficient use of resources, the integration of innovative technologies, and the achievement of long-term strategic goals. The findings of this study can be used in the development of state energy policies as well as for optimizing internal management processes in energy companies.
