Exploration of the Mechanisms and Applications of Bionic Grippers

Based on the research literature on new mechanical claws from 2020 to 2025, this paper analyzes and finds that bionic technology has become a key direction for technological breakthroughs. By summarizing the bionic fields such as motion mechanisms, structural topologies, and material properties, this paper systematically evaluates the performance of bionic mechanical claws from five dimensions: grasping success rate, driving energy consumption, response speed, load capacity, and scene adaptability, providing theoretical basis and practical guidance for future research and development. Moreover, referring to the current evaluation standards for gripper performance, a new comprehensive scoring formula with certain weights that better meets the current requirements for mechanical grippers is proposed, which better quantifies the performance.
