METHODOLOGY FOR SELECTING CANDIDATES TO HIGHER MILITARY EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS FOR TRAINING UNDER THE TRAINING PROGRAM FOR INTELLIGENCE AND SPECIAL PURPOSE SPECIALISTS OF THE DEFENSE FORCES OF UKRAINE

The article proposes a methodology for selecting candidates for higher military educational institutions for training under the intelligence and special forces officer training program for the Defense Forces of Ukraine, which should facilitate the work of admissions committees when recruiting for training. Based on the results of the analysis of mobilization measures in the state, a conclusion was drawn about the gradual decline in the quality of professional military training due to the increase in the number of mobilized and reservists. At the same time, the requirements for candidates for training in intelligence and special operations remain high, which creates difficulties for admissions committees in staffing training groups for the training of future officers the Security Service of Ukraine, the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the National Guard of Ukraine, the State Border Service of Ukraine and other military formations established in accordance with the legislation of Ukraine. The purpose of the article is to analyze the stages of conducting professional selection of candidates for training, determine criteria and develop a methodology for improving this procedure in modern realities when enrolling in higher military educational institutions for training officers of intelligence and special forces units. During the study, it was established that the assessment of the suitability of candidates for further training and the forecast of the success of their further professional growth during military service and the performance of assigned tasks should be carried out based on the totality of the results of the medical, socio-psychological, psychophysiological and educational stages of professional selection. For the selection of candidates for training in higher military educational institutions for the training of officers of intelligence and special forces units, it is proposed to divide the educational stage into a theoretical and practical component. This will allow for a more qualitative determination of the professional qualities and experience of the candidate for training and, accordingly, determine the candidate's suitability for further service. The developed methodology is aimed at a more in-depth assessment of the criteria required for enrollment in studies. At the same time, it makes it possible to make changes to each individual indicator of a candidate's competence for enrollment in training groups, which will allow admissions committees to staff the appropriate training group in conditions of reduced initial quality of professional training of the future officer for further service in intelligence or special forces units.
