Thermal conductivity measurement of metals in general physics course: apparatus implementation and procedures
This paper introduces a novel apparatus for measuring thermal conductivity in metallic materials. The apparatus, constructed using standard aluminum profiles, a stainless steel container, 3D printing technology, digital thermometers, and an electronically controlled heating plate, is designed to be adaptable to different levels of physics courses and experimental durations. This adaptability is demonstrated through the development of multiple measurement procedures, each tailored to a specific level of study.
