THE SPACE OF THE PROVINCIAL THEATER: SOUND REINFORCEMENT SYSTEM IN DRAMA THEATERS OF SAMARA

The article examines the features of the evolutionary development of the theater space, provides an overview of the stages of the formation of theater acoustics, analyzes the specifics of designing and creating sound zones in the theater from their origin in the ancient period to the present. The constructive changes of the stage and geometric parameters of the halls are characterized. The influence of architectural forms, materials and structures of buildings on the sound characteristics of the theater space is revealed. It describes the impact on the sound quality in the theater of a system of interrelated elements and parameters, such as volume, size and outline of surfaces, sound absorption and sound insulation in the hall, as well as the quality of sound equipment. At the same time, a step-by-step observation of the process of the emergence of sound engineering and its role in theatrical art is carried out. The role of early recording, the appearance of the phonograph, and the simultaneous penetration of record company products into theaters is revealed. The requirements for modern sound engineering in the theater, when creating performances of different genres, are studied. The distinctive acoustic features of Samara's theaters are shown, and modern trends in the sound equipment of the city's theaters are explored. Technological aspects such as advanced sound systems, active acoustic solutions and technologies are considered in the context of integration with architectural design to create a unique audiovisual effect. The practical aspects of the interrelation of professionally significant qualities of sound engineers with certain types of their activities are revealed, the basic skills of specialists working with the acoustic space of the stage and auditorium, the regularity and interdependence of the operation of sound transmission and sound reinforcement facilities are described.
