Toward a relativistic cosmology in electromagnetic universe

This research was conducted in the framework of the equivalence principle extension, aiming at providing a geometrical description of the electromagnetic interaction which would manifest itself through a modification of the space-time properties. In the relativistic regime, utilizing the Einstein-type equation for electromagnetism as well as a new energy–momentum tensor, we managed to describe a charged dust with identical test particles in a new way, while completely neglecting gravitational effects. In the FLRW metric, we described the evolution of a homogeneous and isotropic electromagnetic universe through the derivation of new equations, namely: the first and the second Friedmann-type equations and the motion equation of the cosmological charged fluid. As an application, the system is analyzed in two particular cases involving both the creation of new charges and a dissipative situation where the bulk viscosity is considered. In the Newtonian limit, we recover Euler’s equation as well as the non-conservation equation, obtained by Kolomeisky.
