Is the charged vecton boson seen by the CDF II the standard model one?
Following the results from CDF-II, one might question whether the observed vector boson W is a part of the Standard Model or if the findings are indicative of new physics at play. In this work, we demonstrate that in electroweak models having the [Formula: see text] gauge symmetry, the mass of the charged vector boson observed by CDF-II can be explained at the tree level. Furthermore, some versions of the model predict a shift in the mass of the lightest neutral vector boson.
