DESENVOLVIMENTO DE E-BOOK EDUCATIVO PARA PAIS E FAMILIARES SOBRE O MÉTODO CANGURU: APLICAÇÕES E SEUS BENEFÍCIOS

The Kangaroo Care (KC) is a method for caring for premature, low-weight newborns that promotes skin-to-skin contact between the baby and the parents. This practice promotes emotional bonding, improves breastfeeding, stabilizes body temperature, contributes to neuropsychomotor development, and contributes to the healthy development of the baby and the emotional well-being of the family. The objective of this study is to develop educational material on the Kangaroo Care, a project under development with the purpose of providing guidance to parents and family members on instructions for practices that can contribute to the healthy growth of premature or low-weight babies. The study is an ongoing project that used bibliographic reviews, through scientific articles from the Virtual Health Library, SciELO, manuals from the Ministry of Health, practice guides, websites, and legislation. The research has a qualitative approach, delimiting factors that demonstrate the implementation of the Kangaroo Care and its advantages, in order to develop this project with clarity and objective. Thus, the e-book will have a visual identity, succinctly clarifying the guidelines and specifying correct techniques of what should be done when adopting care to obtain positive results for the newborn in the home environment.
