Inclusive & Equitable Learning Design: Integrating Systems Thinking and Action Research in Generative AI-Driven Educational Content
Artificial intelligence (AI) is increasingly shaping educational and learning landscapes; however, ensuring that learning content creation and overall learning design align with the pedagogical principles of learner diversity, inclusion, and equity is critical. The study investigates how AI-generated learning content and design contribute to inclusive and equitable learning experiences. The study employs systems thinking to explore the complex socio-cultural relationships within the organization's ecosystems and action research to adapt to diverse learner needs. The study explores concerns about the responsible use of AI and potential biases. Findings indicate the relationship between AI-generated learning content at the intersection of inclusion and equity and its impact on learner engagement and outcome. Based on the findings, the study recommends a prompt generation framework to enhance interaction with AI tools for inclusive learning design and highlight the transformative potential of equitable, inclusive learning design and responsible AI use in fostering learner-centric education.
