ANÁLISE DOS IMPACTOS DOS DESASTRES NA MOBILIDADE URBANA NO MUNICÍPIO DE SANTA LUZIA – MG E PROPOSTA DE INTERVENÇÃO

This study analyzes the impacts of natural disasters on urban mobility in Santa Luzia, Minas Gerais, focusing on the application of operational research techniques to optimize responses to these events. The adopted methodology includes the collection of primary and secondary data, scenario analysis, and simulations of alternative routes during emergencies. The results indicate that floods and landslides are the most frequent disasters, primarily affecting areas near the Rio das Velhas and neighborhoods such as São Benedito, São Cosme, and Nova Esperança. The research highlights the need to strengthen drainage infrastructure, implement real-time monitoring systems, and conduct regular drills to prepare the community for future disasters. It concludes that ensuring mobility and public safety requires integrating operational research into urban planning and developing public policies that enhance the city’s resilience.
