Experimental characterization of a compact centrifugal pump for liquid helium transfer

Abstract A compact submersible centrifugal pump has been developed to transfer liquid helium with flow rates up to 20 liters per minute between dewar vessels against the pressure loss of the transfer line. The pump is equipped with a cold motor and ball bearings. The authors report on the latest test results and performance characteristics.
