REGIONAL INNOVATION POTENTIAL: STATUS AND DIRECTIONS OF DEVELOPMENT (ON THE EXAMPLE OF THE REPUBLIC OF MORDOVIA)

The article examines aspects of innovation management in the Republic of Mordovia. Based on an analysis of the region’s innovation indicators, conclusions were drawn about a decrease in its efficiency and, as a result, a decline in innovation potential. To restore and increase it, a system of measures is proposed, involving the implementation of business financing and innovation support in the Republic of Mordovia through the use of an innovation voucher mechanism. A preliminary analysis has shown signs of economic efficiency of the proposed recommendations.
