AI-Powered Early Diagnosis System for Cancer
-While cancer remains one of the leading killers worldwide, we still require early and accurate diagnosis, whether for increasing survival or better treatment response. This project presents an early cancer diagnosis system based on advanced machine learning techniques that use an AI to diagnosis and classify cancers at early stages. The system integrates clinical data as well as medical imaging such as CT scans, x rays and histopathological slides, and leverages the power of deep learning algorithms, specifically convolutional neural networks (CNNs), to explore medical imaging corpus, in particular CT scans, x rays and histopathological slides. Using ensemble machine learning modes, we leveraged clinical features to improve diagnostic precision. Then the system was built with weighted loss function and data augmentation techniques for imbalanced datasets and is flexible enough to be used on different tumor types while also having real time processing, automated feature extraction, and Xai (explanable AI) tools for the interpretable to the health care community that explains why a particular patient is predicted a certain way. The results indicate high accuracy, sensitivity and specificity compared with the other conventional diagnostic methods, and high evaluation has been conducted towards the public dataset. In addition, the system has a web interface that can be deployed in clinical settingsIn a seamless manner and the medical practitioners is given user friendly diagnostic support. The proposed system is a hybrid of state of the art AI techniques and user centric design, intended to make cancer diagnostics more reliable, scalable and efficient in early detection of cancer and improving the outcome to the patient.
