Energy Loss Reduction via Energy Management Expertise in Versatile Distribution Networks with Distributed Generation
The complexity of modern power distribution networks has increased significantly when integrating distributed generation (DG) units. This integration requires advanced strategies for optimizing network performance and minimizing energy losses. Conventional approaches fail to address the dynamic and nonlinear characteristics of these systems. The novel approach presented in this research incorporates Crow Search Algorithm (CSA) with an objective to minimize the power losses and enhance the voltage stability. Unlike traditional optimization the proposed CSA-based model adapts real-time conditions and considers practical constraints. Experimental results of the proposed model evaluate the model performance using IEEE 33 bus system. The proposed model demonstrates better improvement in annual energy loss reduction from 812 MWh to 95 MWh with enhanced voltage profiles, faster convergence rates and lower variance compared to existing optimization techniques. Further comparative analysis of proposed model exhibits superior performance compared with existing optimization algorithms like PSO, TLBO, GWO, and KHO.
