Aging Attack on Systolic Array-Based AI Accelerators via NBTI-Induced Aging

Hardware attacks present a grave threat to modern computing platforms. This work introduces a stealthy NBTI-based aging attack that manipulates the input connections in adders leading to significant degradation. The attack results up to a 72% increase in delay and 66% accuracy loss in four years.

Abstract

Hardware attacks present a grave threat to modern computing platforms. This work introduces a stealthy NBTI-based aging attack that manipulates the input connections in adders leading to significant degradation. The attack results up to a 72% increase in delay and 66% accuracy loss in four years.
