Sound Localization Correction System Using User Position Tracking in Four Loudspeakers Environment
This paper implements a system that corrects sound localization in environments where four loudspeakers are installed and the user freely moves. Existing sound localization techniques in speaker environments assume an ideal relationship between the user and speaker positions. Thus, the sound image localization may become inaccurate when the user moves. In contrast, our system tracks the user's position in real time and automatically adjusts the sound volume and timing of each speaker based on the distance between the user and each speaker. By doing so, our system realizes accurate sound image localization regardless of the user movement. Furthermore, we verify the effectiveness of our system through user experiments.
