A New Priority Forwarding Method for Emergency Massages Using Multiple Sending Queues on NDN-VANET
VANET (Vehicular Ad-Hoc Networking) is well-known, evolving network that connects a wide variety of devices, including automobiles and infrastructure related to motorized society. However, due to the dynamic topology, achieving stable communication remains a significant challenge. To address this issue, NDN-VANET, which employs the Named Data Networking (NDN) mechanism to enhance message delivery performance through network caching, has been proposed. Implementing NDN functionality in VANET enables stable data dissemination, even under unreliable wireless links. However, for emergency data dissemination, NDN-VANET still faces issues, as NDN lacks a mechanism to prioritize emergency data over regular data. The proposed method in this paper prioritizes emergency data by multiple sending queues at a RSU (Road Side Unit), based on the significance of each Data. The evaluation results demonstrate that the effectiveness of the proposed method.
