Integrated cooling demonstration for compact RF power electronic harvesting
We developed and tested a new cooling system for a front-end module (FEM) for generating and harvesting radio frequency (RF) power. A custom circuit board was designed to show how this cooling system could be integrated into commercial FEMs. The cooling setup was created to operate from 8-12 GHz. We compared three systems: one without cooling, one with single-phase cooling, and one with two-phase cooling. The two-phase system worked best, outperforming both the no-cooling and single-phase systems, showing its potential for better performance in high-power electronics, particularly those generating and collecting RF power
