EFFECT OF THE IM FACTOR ON THE POWER OUTPUT AND EFFICIENCY OF MONOCRYSTALLINE SOLAR PANELS
Photovoltaic (PV) panels play a crucial role in renewable energy generation by converting sunlight into electrical energy. The efficiency and performance of these panels depend on several factors, including current and voltage characteristics. This study investigates the impact of the maximum current (Im factor) on the power output and efficiency of a high-efficiency monocrystalline solar panel. Using a sun-simulator test device, four different scenarios were analyzed under controlled conditions to observe variations in panel performance. The results indicate that as the Im factor decreases, both the panel's power output and efficiency decline significantly. These findings contribute to optimizing PV panel utilization by identifying critical operating conditions that affect energy generation efficiency.
