Laser-induced damage studies of antireflective surface structures on silica windows for high-power laser applications
We will present studies of laser induced damage thresholds (LIDT) for silica glass windows with random antireflective surface structures (ARSS), including testing with both ns and fs pulsed lasers. We have demonstrated 5X higher LIDT for windows with ARSS as compared to those with traditional AR coatings, showing the advantages of ARSS for high power applications.
