The evaluation of the tourism offer in Barcelona

The topic examined in the article is highly relevant, given the fact that Barcelona is one of the most visited cities in the world, attracting millions of visitors every year. The evolution of tourist offerings in Barcelona is important, reflecting changes in tourist preferences, the impact of the pandemic on the tourism industry, and the adaptation strategies of local authorities and businesses. The purpose of the research is to understand these aspects and identify ways to optimize the tourist offering to meet the needs and expectations of tourists while maintaining sustainability and the authenticity of local experiences. For the analysis of the chosen problem, the following methods were used: analysis, synthesis, induction, deduction, comparison, and study of the legislative framework, reports related to the problem in question, and analysis of statistical data. After writing this article, we obtained results regarding the analysis of services and tourist attractions available in Barcelona, the state of the tourist infrastructure, the contribution of tourism to the local economy of Barcelona, the social impact of tourism on local communities, including aspects such as cost of living, jobs, the influence of the pandemic in terms of the number of visitors, and the strategies implemented by local authorities to manage tourism in Barcelona.
