Global Financial Clusters: Strategic Value of Synergies in Mergers Between Banking Giants

Objective: This study aims to analyze the impacts of mergers and acquisitions (M&As) in the global banking sector, focusing on the creation of financial, economic, technological, and social value for shareholders and stakeholders, and how these operations affect corporate value and market dynamics. Theoretical Framework: The research is grounded in the neoperspectivist Giftedean paradigm and adopts an integrated approach to corporate strategy and valuation, supported by the hypothetical-deductive method to guide analysis and model construction. Method: A set of robust statistical tools was applied, including Descriptive Analysis, Correlation Matrix, PCA (Principal Component Analysis), Linear Regression, Random Forest, K-Means Clustering, Cointegration Test, and Monte Carlo Simulation. Data were analyzed to assess post-merger valuation and financial performance. Results and Discussion: The study found that post-merger companies had an average valuation of 318.18 billion USD, with an average net profit of 13.85 billion and total debt of 142.84 billion. The Monte Carlo Simulation validated the consistency of these values (mean: 317.78 billion). Sensitivity analysis revealed a valuation variation of up to 5%, highlighting the influence of macroeconomic factors. Identified gaps include limited comparative data between emerging and developed markets and a lack of deeper long-term impact analysis. Research Implications: The findings support improved understanding of value creation through banking mergers and provide insights for the design of more effective financial governance and regulatory policies. Originality/Value: This research offers a detailed quantitative framework for assessing synergies in banking M&As, combining AI and econometric techniques to guide strategic decision-making.
