A prática de afinar violinos por um viés Etnomatemático

For many, music represents a feeling, a joy, what would we be without it? However, what if we were able to have a mathematical view of music, something that is linked to our daily lives, which we live with, whether listening to it from a neighbor or in musical applications, there is mathematics present in this. This work presents participatory research and aims to highlight ethnomathematical practices in the action of tuning a musical instrument, in this case, we use violins. With regard to methodological practices, we divided it into two parts: I) An interview with people from the musical choir, the same from a community in Mauriti-CE, for the interview, our six guiding questions to reveal the conversation. II) We show how the subject of proportion acts on musical notes, consequently, on the tuning of the violin. As a result of the interview, it became clear that the way the interviewees used to tune the instrument was based on their experiences and did not intend to draw any parallels with mathematics. We can conclude that, in terms of the objective of showing the interviewees how mathematics is present in their daily lives, mainly in their musical processes, along with pointing out how this practice is approached, there is a different and unique way for their group, in do (ethno)mathematics, in this sense we verify the hidden mathematical knowledge of people who practice this studied action and we show what ethnomathematics was in their context. With this, we see how mathematics exists in our daily lives and an interesting methodological practice to adopt as a teacher.
