Voice Quality and Health Related Quality of Life in Laryngeal Cancer Survivors From Diagnosis Up to 10 Years Following Radiotherapy
Most patients demonstrated a voice quality impairment to some degree at 10 years following radiotherapy for laryngeal cancer, with no substantial changes compared to 5 years postradiotherapy. HRQL and self-perceived function also demonstrated differences during the same time, with the highest degree of symptoms immediately after radiotherapy, to thereafter improve over time; however, with communicative difficulties to some extent deteriorating after 5 years.
