APLICAÇÃO DE FERRAMENTAS DE GESTÃO PARA MITIGAR OS IMPACTOS DAS MUDANÇAS CLIMÁTICAS NA PROTEÇÃO CIVIL: DESAFIOS E OPORTUNIDADES PARA A GESTÃO DE RISCOS AMBIENTAIS NO ESTADO DO ACRE
This article investigates the impacts of climate change on civil protection and analyzes the challenges and opportunities for environmental risk management in the State of Acre, presenting essential management tools for changing the reality of Civil Defense management in the Capital and the State. Through a comprehensive literature review, this study addresses the frequency of environmental disasters and explains the need for the continued use of tools that optimize the use of resources, as well as facilitate decision-making in emergencies. The methodology applied includes documentary analysis, which provided first-hand documents, recent data that have not yet been studied and tabulated, as well as data from events that have already occurred. The results indicate that despite the efforts made by the City Hall and the State, which seek to mitigate the impacts caused by disasters, especially floods, the region needs to have a holistic view, invest in tools that better manage available resources, as well as provide computerized decision-making. It is concluded that the use of management tools is essential for improving the planning and management of risk mitigation actions with a focus on environmental risk management, highlighting the need for implementation and continuous training of professionals working in the Civil Defense area.
