Distribution of HDL-C and LDL-C and Their Subfractions in Mammary Carcinogenesis. Case-Control Study
Common mechanisms underlying breast cancer (BC) and cardiovascular disease might include plasma lipoprotein levels. However, this relationship remains unclear, and the role of plasma LDL-C and HDL-C and their subfractions need to be clarified. In this study, conducted in a population of community-dwelling women in New Brunswick, Canada, we aimed to determine the distribution of plasma LDL-C and HDL-C and their subfractions (small [s] or large [l]) during mammary carcinogenesis.
