Getting to the Heart of the Matter—Social Determinants of Health, Behaviour Change, and Cardiovascular Disease: A Phenomenological Study
The purpose of this study was to develop a behaviour change framework on the basis of the data gathered to answer the question: for individuals with a predisposition to cardiovascular disease (CVD), how do the social determinants of health influence their ability to make behaviour changes/modifications to mitigate their risk of CVD? Four EDI considerations were taken into account, namely: (1) sex (biologically female at birth), culture, education, and income level.
