Modeling the Past–Archaeology, History, and Dynamic Networks
Modeling the Past is presented as a handbook for researchers interested in using dynamic network analysis to explore, model, and try to understand the complex global history of our species.Overall, the book is engaging, intriguingly written, and extremely well-organised.It includes an introduction, seven chapters, a conclusion, a glossary, references, and an index.Chapters begin with relevant quotes and concepts, which are incorporated in chapter discussions.In-text definitions clarify points of emphasis and formulas (labelled propositions), allowing for better literacy.Chapter summaries and final key points are also presented to improve comprehension and to bridge understanding into upcoming chapters.
