Managing Work-Life Harmony in the Digital Era: The Effects of Remote Work, Technology, and Organizational Support on Media Professionals
The digital environment transformation significantly impacted media workers' work-life balance through remote work development and evolving organizational support structures. The extensive use of internet resources and digital tools has led to an overlap between professional and personal life which presents both advantages and disadvantages. Remote work creates flexible schedules and increased autonomy but often extends work hours and demands constant availability which can lead to burnout. This research examines the ways in which remote work, technology, and organizational policies shape work-life integration for media professionals. Through conceptual literature review, the article outlines significant trends, including the importance of digital communication tools, the efficacy of flexible work arrangements, and the importance of organizational support in stress reduction. The study identifies both the benefits of telecommuting—greater productivity, less commuting time, and increased job satisfaction—and the disadvantages, including digital exhaustion, work spillover into personal time, and having trouble keeping operations and personal life apart. The proof highlights the imperative of organized policies, defined expectations at work, and positive cultures at the workplace to maximize work-life balance. The paper then concludes by making recommendations for the best practices among media organizations on how to encourage a sustainable working environment through technologically moderated workplace, mental wellness programs, and enhanced work policies. These suggestions are intended to help media workers balance their general well-being and job happiness with the complexities of modern workplaces.
