APEX TO SUCCESS- MTA APEXIFICATION IN MAXILLARY LATERAL INCISOR: A CASE REPORT
In endodontic therapy, the primary goal is to completely ll the root canal space to prevent reinfection. When dealing with teeth that have incomplete root development due to trauma, decay, or other pulpal issues, the absence of a natural constriction at the root canal's end presents a challenge in controlling obturating materials. The objective is to seal the signicant communication between the root canal system and the surrounding tissues and to create a barrier against which the obturation material can be effectively compacted. This case report describes the successful management of a permanent maxillary lateral incisor with an open apex using Mineral Trioxide Aggregate (MTA) for apexication.
