Synthesis of coal pitch-derived carbon dots with yellow emission and improved photoluminescence quantum yield through pre-surface engineering and nitrogen doping
A strategy to boost the emission wavelength redshift and improve the photoluminescence quantum yield (PLQY) of coal pitch-derived CDs is proposed. The obtained CDs emit yellow light and exhibit a PLQY of 34%, showing potential for LED applications.
