Research on an Integrated Model of IP Creation Tools through Comparative Analysis of TRIZ and IP-R&D: Focusing on the Shoe Insole Case
Patent information is a key resource for innovative problem-solving and gaining technological advantage. While TRIZ and IP-R&D contribute to problem-solving by leveraging patent information, each has limitations.TRIZ is a powerful tool for resolving technical contradictions, but it is conservative in introducing new resources and less proactive in utilizing the latest patent information. On the other hand, the creation process of IP-R&D is based on the latest patent information, which increases the differentiation of ideas and has a high potential for utilizing external resources. This study proposes the need for an integrated model combining these two methodologies' advantages. The integrated model combines the systematic contradiction resolution capabilities of TRIZ with the intuitive and practical approach of POWER analysis, which is often used as a generative tool for IP-R&D to achieve more innovative and practical problem-solving.Through shoe insole case analyses, the integrated model retains the technical contradiction resolution capabilities of TRIZ but is more effective in utilizing external resources and up-to-date patent information. In the future, the effectiveness of the integrated tool will be verified through various case analyses, and further research and refinement will be required to refine the tool further.
