Effect of Cosmetics Containing Ginsenoside from Wild Simulated Ginseng on Pores, Wrinkles, Pigmentation, and Elasticity of the Skin on the Side of the Face

This study examined the effects of a cosmetic product containing wild-simulated ginseng ginsenosides on the lateral facial skin.To achieve this, a toner and cream were developed, and participants applied the ginseng-containing cosmetic to the right side of their face.In contrast, the left side was treated with a non-ginseng cosmetic for comparison. The study was conducted over four weeks with male and female participants aged 20 to 50, and changes before and after use were evaluated based on pore size, wrinkles, pigmentation, and elasticity. The collected data were analyzed using a paired ttest to verify the efficacy of the cosmetic product. The results showed that the cosmetic product containing wild-simulated ginseng ginsenosides led to significant improvements in pore size (p=0.006),wrinkles (p=0.043), and elasticity (p=0.008) on the right side of the face.In contrast, no significant changes were observed in pigmentation (p=0.407).In contrast, the left side of the face, where the nonginsenoside cosmetic was applied, showed no significant changes in any parameter (p>0.05).These findings suggest that cosmetics containing wild-simulated ginseng ginsenosides may positively reduce pore size, improve wrinkles, and increase skin elasticity. However, no significant effect was observed in pigmentation improvement.Since this study was a small-scale experiment analyzing changes in lateral facial skin, generalization of the results is limited. Therefore, further long-term and large-scale studies with more participants are necessary to verify the effects of ginsenoside-containing cosmetics on facial
